50 Free eBooks - Yep, that's right - you get 50 free books with the iLiad Book Edition. Their Web site describes them as "some of the best books ever written," but we'll let you be the judge of that.

High Resolution Touch Screen - The iLiad Book Edition's touch screen is very interactive. You can make notes using the included stylist and convert them to digital text.

Support for Multiple Formats - The iLiad supports multiple formats, including PDF, HTML, TXT, JPG, BMP, PNG and PRC (Mobipocket), which we think is a big plus. Also, according to iRex's Web site, they will support more formats in the future.

Lacking Storage - Yes, the storage is expandable using USB, MMC or CF cards, but 256 MB with 126 MB available to the user doesn't add up to much.

Lacking Wireless - The iLiad 2nd Edition does have built-in WiFi, so we were disappointed that the Book Edition doesn't. That however, could justify the $100 price difference between the two.

The iLiad Book Edition looks pretty cool with its sleek sliver color. It's a little heavier than the Kindle, but also has a bigger screen. Feels good in your hands, and we can see reading with it for hours (as long as the battery lasts that long).

The display is the stand out feature of the Book Edition. 8.1 inches (20.6 cm) gives it a much bigger feel than the 6 inch ebook readers on the market. Also, it's 768 by 1024 resolution is the highest on the market and looks great, but we're not so sure about it justifying the high price tag.
